need good remedies for a cold

Poor DD has a cold - stuffy, runny nose, coughing and was sneezing - not so much anymore. She is 15 months old. I just wondered if anyone had any good remedies they use for their DC's.

Unfortunately she's had a rough time since she turned 1 with her 1st cold, and an ear infection that wouldn't go away, until she got an antibiotic shot . I'm just ready for her to be well for longer than a coulpe of weeks!! Thanks for your help

Hyland's C+ Cold tablets. They dissolve right away in babies mouth just like the teething tablets. They have worked wonders for ds, he has been battling allergies.

I give apricot nectar for sore throats and dry coughs
kids with colds get extra baths (and vapor bath works well)
bring the child into the bathroom to play while others bathe to get extra steam time
push fluids
extra vit C and zinc
lots of cuddles

I've heard breastmilk to help clear up a stuffy nose, but I've not tried it.
Hope she's feeling better soon

I'm just curious to what was said about how you would use it? I can't imagine shooting it up there.. right? lol

Miranda has a cold now herself (along with me of course) we've been battling with it for a week now. I'm ready for it to go away. I've just been doing the mainstream stuff to help relieve symptoms.. nothing is making it any better.. for either of us. I'm so tired of having a stuffed up nose, I'm tired of miranda having a runny one. lol
