How do you know when to size up?
DS is still fitting smalls nicley, but he is over 12lbs already. I am wondering when I should size up to Mediums? I use mostly blueberry diapers, with a few others mixed in. I know BB says the smalls go up to 16lbs. Do you find the diapers normally fit to that point? Just curious as I want to know when to prepare my medium stash.
Thanks. |

Re: How do you know when to size up?
I like to buy one diaper of the next size up a little early. That way, I can periodically try it on to see when I like the fit to size up. Often a baby can fit snugly into one size and loosely into the next, so it is a matter of preference when you make the switch. Some people like the super snug look, others prefer lots of room to grow.

Re: How do you know when to size up?
I was wondering about this as well. We have a few mediums that are much too big still (she's 15lbs)

Re: How do you know when to size up?
My blueberries did not go up to the weight listed with my baby. We sized up the mediums around 12 or 13lbs and then up to larges around 19lbs.
What I did was when I started thinking it might be time, I just bought one cheap on on the FSOT to gauge size.

I like to try the next size on early too.

Re: How do you know when to size up?
How do you know when to size up any clothes. Pretty much same thing. The sizes and weights are just an idea as every body type is different just like clothes. If you know you want to use the same ones in the next size you can get a few or even your whole stash ready.
Usually the baby doesn't wake up one morning to big for all their dipes (except for newborns). Just take note when they move out another snap or velcro gets closer to the edge.
