Are you having any pain when he nurses? It could be your blood (from a cracked nipple) that he passed.

Re: Help..streaks of blood in ebf poop...

Is he going a lot/often? My DS has blood in his stool once in a while. Our doctor says it is a result of anal fissures. Little tears around the anus, usually from frequent bowl movements. I find that as long as I put something on him at night he's fine. It's when I forget for a while that the blood will show up again.

Our doctor also said it could have been a result of something I ate and him reacting to it in my milk. But we were able to rule that out.

Good luck!

Most commonly it is: Anal fizzure or allergy reaction to milk (did you drink more than usual lately?) or oversupply. But if oversupply his poo's would also be greenish, foamy sometimes, and have stringy mucousy stuff also.

Re: Help..streaks of blood in ebf poop...

I believe the recommendation for oversupply is to offer only one breast per feeding. The idea is that the baby will get all of the hindmilk this way.
