Help me find the BEST AIO?

Hello

OK I seriously don't need anymore diapers. But I've never tried an AIO so I've decided that I will start a quest for the perfect AIO.

things I like/don't like

Out of all the diapers I've tried (OK not THAT many) Fuzzi Bunz are the best fit for my DS. I like that they are really flexible, especially around the tummy. I recently got some Bummis covers and I feel like they are a bit tight on his tummy, kind of like jeans as opposed to sweat pants.

I think that I prefer snaps (probably partly becasue of the flexibility issue) but I'm open as far as that's concerned.

I've never measured DS but he's 6 months old, 17.5 lbs, 27 inches tall. All I can say is that the second waist and thigh snap of the med. fb fit him well, as well as the rise.

I'm not sure how I feel about the snap in vs. 'true' AIO's. I guess no preference on that but I don't like to tri-fold things.

Can anyone help me in my new (totally unnecessary) quest for the perfect AIO? (SPAM welcome).

Sarah

Re: Help me find the BEST AIO?

My AIO's (technically AI2's) are perfect My sizing is pretty similar to fb's I don't do gussets, because the gusset makes them fit larger legs better then smaller, whereas a non-gusset leg, fits all leg sizes better. I do not use a tri-fold soaker except in my Nighter dider, and I think for an AIO, my prices are pretty reasonable. I would say if you are in a med. with fb's you would be in a med. with Little M's.

There's two brands of AIO's that I love...Very Baby AIO's are my fav, and My Precious Baby by April (actually a AI2) is my 2nd fav. Both are awesome AIO's IMO.

Another vote for Very Baby AIOs. They fit just like sposies under clothes and work great! If you're into making your own, they sell their pattern at www.verybaby.com or you can check out their retailers for every possible "option" you could want. If you just want to try them out, check www.clothdiaperexchange.com because she did have several in different sizes for $10-12 (some new, some used).

As for the soaker issue, it's a tradeoff. Sewn-in makes it truly one step...couldn't be easier...but it takes a while to dry and apparently some people question whether it gets really good and clean that way. Lay-in soakers are an extra piece to fuss with, but you can customize a little more (to make it thinner or more absorbent as needed) and laundry is easier. Good luck!

Re: Help me find the BEST AIO?

my favorite aio/ai2 is daisy doodles

they're snap-in/quick dry style. they do both front & side snaps as well as aplix (so whichever you like best). and they are really trim. they work well under regular clothes for us. i recommend getting at least 1 doubler as that really makes them work best w/o adding too much bulk & getting the 100% poly prints - they don't get crunchy/worn looking like most wovens do and they don't wick b/c there's no cotton content. and christa the wahm is a really great seamstress - wonderful workmanship on these.
