Which lovey do you use?

Thank you so much, guys!! You have given me lots of ideas. I think I'll try one of those cheaper options before buying a snoedel. I have an itty bitty blanket that *I* have always adored. Maybe I can try using that while we nurse, sleep, etc. dd loves to feel the ribbons!

hrmm...I'm so glad you guys have shared all this great advice. I was thinking about using an Animal Alley Baby "My First Doll" by Geoffrey, Inc.

I can't find another one just like the one we already have!!!

Question: Should I use something that doesn't make any noise? This doll crackles a bit.

mama, my 2 1/2 yr old uses his jumbo taggies blanket, a paci (yes i know!) and his corolle Louis doll. He also needs to sleep with his soft baseball, bat and wwe championship belt. The sad thing is we co sleep with him!
my 1 1/2 year old uses his thumb and a koala kids blankie...

lette has 2 tiggers from the disney store that she carries everywhere and cant sleep without, we only let her have one at a time, the second is a back up, she chose it herself
ETA: i would go with something that doesnt make noise, but thats me!

We are trying the NCSS too! Last night B. slept from 8-11:00 and then from 11-6:00 am! Amen, finally some sleep around here! Although we aren't co-sleeping as much any more.

DD got attached to this Under the Nile Minimo doll. She is 4 and still sleeps with it!

DS has a blankie- an organic cotton thermal receiving blanket. I really need a duplicate!

I'll miss co-sleeping, too. However, I'm about to lose my mind being the lovey and having to lie down with my LO to get her to sleep ALL THE TIME. I think some sort of schedule will be good for us all.

hmm..I kinda like those nile dolls but it says "spot clean only" --

I think the crackling might be distracting, too. Besides, I want to have at least two of anything that works.

That little satin edged blankie is looking better and better. hehe

We have thrown DD's doll in the wash several times a year. I put it through the gentle cycle in a hosiery bag. Still looks great!

And it's just stuffed with cotton... no crackling at all.

My older girls kinda pick and choose which of their stuffed animals they like. Right now Madyson(8) sleeps every night with her 4 webkinz. Right now Sara(3 1/2) likes her green fuzzy frog. And Gracie(8months) fell in love iwth blankies and her thumb but wasn't particular as long as she had SOME blanket to hold in her hand while she sucked her thumb. So I made her a small blankie that is pink dotty minky and chocolate brown organic cotton. We have two so that there's always one in the wash(GERD ) and one with her. She will not sleep without it after having it for 5 months now.
Oh and we co-sleep but there ARE 3 of them and just one of me. So it's a given that someone will need to comfort themselves at some point in the day when more than 1 or 2 need attention so a lovey was a must.

I was DS's lovey too. He now uses a shirt of mine. I used to hang my shirt from the day over his crib rail, he actually pulled this one in and it has belonged to him ever since. It actually went from being only used at bed/naptime, but now he has it with him all the time.
