Re: getting tired

Your not selfish. We all need a break. I felt like that a lot when I was pg. It gets better. (and then worse again and then better lol!!!) After dd was over a year I was able to leave her for a few hours even though she wouldnt take a cup of milk. Hang in there!!

Re: getting tired

I was still nursing my 18mo when I got preggers, and, 2 months later I weened him. I swore I would nurse him until he was done, but there was just something about being pregnant, I dreaded the chore, it didn't make me happy anymore, so, I figured it was a sign. Luckily for me, he was only nursing 3x24hrs, so it was really easy, but, I know the feeling.

Re: getting tired

I got very tired of nursing about 2 months ago...luckily it was just a short-lived phase and a temporary depression due to lack of sleep and pms...I got over it and have been nursing happily since then. Good luck to you!

Re: getting tired

I have those moments as well. The older dd gets the less times she eats so it does get better. I thought i would wean her at 12 months but that didn't happen and it is just easier to whip out the boobies than make a snack for her each time she is hungry. i just give her some of what i am eating at each meal(she doesn't give me a choice).

Re: getting tired

I weaned at four months pregnant both times, though I'd hoped to tandem nurse. Ds1 was 13 months (though he hadn't been getting much milk from me for four months), and Ds2 was 3.25. Four months pregnant just seemed to be my cut off of tolerance. Nipples KILLED me every time he touched them, especially at night when I was tired. Decided I'd rather wean than yell at my babies for hurting me!
