Re: Need help increasing supply

i think 2 oz in 10 mins is great! i am bfing twins and it took me 30 mins to get that much sometimes! i would only pump 1 time at night after they went to bed.

you could try pumping at a different time of day too. or add a pumping session. milk tends to be more plentiful in the morning, so maybe you could pump after his first meal (nursing) of the day?

something else i found when i was pumping was that if i didn't do it for a few days, it would take a few days to get back to where i was. for example, if i was consistently getting like 3-4 oz per night and then didn't pump for a couple of days, when i started back up again i would only get like 2 oz, and have to build back up over the next few days. so maybe once your body gets used to it you will start getting more. but again, pumping is no indication of your supply. some breasts just don't like to be pumped!

ok I looked/called/begged no one around here has fenugreek. And the 2 places I know to get mothers milk tea are out. So where do you get yours?

But I did get 4 oz pumped w/my manual pump last night. Hard work but its' a start right? I guess I"m not sued to having to work so hard for it, w/ds1 i was a fountain.
