Holiday Desserts

I have to make desserts for a holiday party in Dec for 100+ people. Needless to say, I am planning ahead. If you have fun, easy desserts, please spam me!!
So far on the list
-chocolate covered pretzels
-oreo truffles

If it is made with almond bark or cream cheese, even better!! (they are my favorites!)
oh, and NO NUTS!!

Re: Holiday Desserts

The easiest cookies I have ever made......

1 box cake mix
1 tub cool whip
1 egg

Mix ( it will be VERY thick, don't worry it's ok)
Roll scoops of dough in powdered sugar
bake for aproxx. 14 min @ 350

These stay very moist and chewy...I always get requests for the recipe/more cookies

Re: Holiday Desserts

cupcakes (no frosting) freeze perfectly so do pound cakes and sweet breads. just pull them out of the freezer and let sit at room temp the day before for an hour then frost. you can also fill cupcakes with custard, cream cheese fluff or whatever using a frosting bag with a long tip if your looking for something a little different and filling goes by quick. the pound cake and breads can be pulled out and sliced the morning of the event. rice crispie treats doctored up with some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice and holiday sprinkles are super quick in the micro and relatively inexpensive and can look special served individually in pretty cupcake papers

Re: Holiday Desserts

springerlies, sour cream cookies, divinity and old-fashioned fudge are our faves.

eta: sorry! none of these are easy, but they're FUN and fantastically delicious. there's just no sub for the "old ways" sometimes.
