Juicing Mamas?
Just curious if we had any juicier using mamas on board. I just got my first juicer as a b-day present from my mom. It totally rocks. I wasn't sure how my first concoction would turn out but it is so super yummy!
5 strawberries, 2 celery stalks, 3 carrots, handful of black grapes, 1/2 peach, 1 tangerine I even mixed the leftover pulp with some vanilla yogurt and tried that, it was awesome as well! I can't wait for the kids to wake up and the farmer's market to open. I'm about to be a juicing fool!

Re: Juicing Mamas?
I borrowed my friend's juicer two months ago and it now has it's own space on my counter. When she wants it she can have it back but then she is going to return it to me! I've really enjoyed using it but she only used it once in two years. That's why it's living with me until she needs it again.

Re: Juicing Mamas?
present!
![]() our basic veggie mix we like is: broccoli stems celery stalks carrots (w/o greens) beets (with greens) romaine lettuce turnip greens kale swiss chard half a cucumber (they're VERY strong) When I make a "spicy" one for my spicy-lovers I use mustard greens, cilantro and radishes too. we've dabbled with a tomato juice: tomatoes (roma) onion garlic celery haven't juiced much fruit yet other than apples and oranges (separately). mmmm!

I don't have a juicer but I'm interested in getting one. Which one do you have?

Re: Juicing Mamas?
I have an Omega 8005 and LOVE it. It's a "masticating" kind which is the best for greens and grasses. It also makes ice cream (from frozen fruit or milk cubes), peanut butter, pasta, etc as well as juicing.
It is SO easy to clean. WAY easier than my aunt's Jack LeLane juicer.

Re: Juicing Mamas?
I have a Jack Lelanne's Powerjuicer Classic
I love it, I made the one this morning, then this afternoon DS made (with my assistance) carrot, cucumber, celery, apple, strawberry juice with a dab of ginger root, it was yummy Then DD got to pick, she did apple, carrot, cucumber, blueberry, kale, strawberry, it was super yummy And I have pulps from DS & DD's mixtures freezing as popcicles for desert tomorrow. I <3 this baby!
