Re: A TMI question
Mine hates it as well and she is 2 1/2. She says it hurts no matter how gentle I am. She is pl and wipes herself when she pees and then we still wipe when she poops. I generally only clean it in the bath and sometimes I let her do it then. I agree that I think they are just extra sensitive.

Re: A TMI question
I am sooooo glad some one asked this, Though I do not yet have a daughter but I have NEVER taken care of a girl in my life, We only have boys in our family 6 of them to be exact! I would have never known about cleaning them. This is a good thread.

Re: A TMI question
My dd is 28 months old, was pt at 22 months old, and that didn't help the issue. I think it was because when she was in dipes (sposies...didn't know the wonders and joy of cloth dipes yet then) she got chronic diaper rashes and it always hurt her to wipe down there...I think it's just a carry over from that. I let her wipe her peepees now but we do battle when it comes to pooping...soon she should be able to wipe her self good with that too.

Re: A TMI question
My Dd is the same way, she's 21mths so can't do it herself. She has now taken to covering her eyes and saying ow ow ow, when I clean her, she had a diaper rash last week. I know I'm being as gentle and fast as I can. Thing is she has started to hide out behind the couch to poop, so I have to chase her down to do a diaper as it is.

Re: A TMI question
My SON is the same way - he freaks when you go to change a poo diaper! Not sure what it's about but it drives me nuts sometimes!
