My mother is just insane. She has recently started babysitting this little boy who is about a month older than Riley. The kid is mean. He will be all nice and give you hugs and kisses then all of a sudden out of nowhere he will pinch, bite, hit, push...you name it. My mother's 'brilliant' way to 'break' (love how she uses that word like he's a dog) him of this behavior is to do it all back to him.

She was over today with the little boy and his mother...SO annoyed by that as well but that's another issue. Anyhoo...the little boy pinched the back of Riley's neck so my mom jumped up and pinched the little boy back. NOT the MOTHER of the boy...MY mother. While my mother is doing this his mom is just sitting there letting her do that and has this smirk on her face like, 'that's just how my son is.' This went on the whole time they were here. He would hit, he would get hit back, he would pull Riley's hair, my mother would pull his. Made me sick. Then the little boy grabbed the back of Riley's shirt and started to shake him...what does my mother do...one guess! UGH

I asked the mother what her son eats, if he is on a schedule and all that and she just kind of blew me off. She said, "He's just going to have to be on medicine. No doubt about that."

And my mother doesn't know why I don't let me son go with her!! Hmmmm

why would any one let there child behave like that?! Syrus is a week away from 10 months and we are already teaching him it's wrong to bite. We already managed to get him to understand pinching is wrong. I can't believe that mom boy's was so thick headed.

Those are all how I feel...

They're lucky they weren't in my home pulling that CRAP! I would have stood up and likely done the same to them! I didn't catch how old this boy is, but he must not be that old. YOU NEVER SHAKE A CHILD!!!

How incredibly ignorant to think they are teaching the kid to not go those things. That poor kid! IMO, you need to say something to both of them. The mother probably does the very same thing to her son that your mother was doing to him, in that case, if it's not stoped, he probably will need meds. Some people!!
