my 8 month old son has been nursing CONSTANTLY!!! my nipples are getting sore again! at night he won't accept the same breast twice in a row..lol so we are tossing and turning all night!

anyway i have no problems w/ this..i just kind of wanted to rant and hear any BTDT stories..i don't remember my dd doing this..

i've been trying to bulk up on carbs because it seems like he is nursing faster than my breasts can replenish! lol tips? i've never worried about my "supply" before.. and i have totaly faith my body will make enough for him.. anyway! just wanted to share!

My DD is days from being one and she has been doing the samething, iam too concerd about my supply just b/c she seems to want more all the time. i have no addivce just that iam going thourgh the same thing. it kinda pushing me to want to wean.

My 11 month old has been having a few of those days lately. Teething maybe? And I swear when he sleeps longer at night, he makes up for it by nursing all. day. long.

babies have growth spurts at different ages too-maybe that's the case? teething is also a common reason; any change in routine, family stuff can trigger a nursing marathon as a comfort thing....this too shall pass

i guess it makes sense..we just moved..maybe a few weeks ago..and we overlapped our rent by 2 weeks and we have been crazy busy! i can't imagine he is teething..he has 8 already..i kind of suspect his next one will be around his birthday when he gets molars in..

and to jess&claire..i hope you don't mind me saying.. but i think if you push to wean when they want it even more its going to be harder..

in the meantime, i stopped rolling over in the night from side to side and now i just kind of tip over more so he can nurse from the top boob too on the same side. makes sleeping much, much better...sometimes i wake up in the morning and don't even remember how many/which side he nursed last.

maybe a growth spurt, maybe in a few days he will be better, just drink tons of water and hang in there~
