Can't believe *I*did this!

Went to the circus tonight. Dh, who is horribly against nip was right next to me as was a lady I didn't know. When ds got hungry I put him in the Mai Tai and nursed away!! I wore a nursing tank so my belly wouldn't show when I pulled up my shirt. No one was any the wiser! I think dh might have known, but he didn't say anything and you certainly couldn't see anything, so he didn't have ground to stand on. I seriously can't believe this is me! I never imagined being here!

today i was in the mall and i plopped ds in the sling pulled up my inner tank top so it covered the top of my breast and my outer shirt was down..and nursed ds for like 45 mins while he napped! no body notices! i love it

If only more mamas were like you/us...I looooove my sling and still use it 2-3x / day at 15mths. The baby just melts into it!!!!

I nurse my baby frequently in public. If he's hungry, I feed him, and I don't want to sit in a bathroom to do it. I'm always covered with a hooter hider, so no one can see anything. Last spring, we were on Coronado Island on vacation watching an air show. My 2 month old was hungry, we were sitting on the grass by the beach with of people. I nursed him, didn't think anything of it. When we were leaving, a lady came up to me and told me how proud she was of me for nursing my little guy in public. That really suprised me, I guess I just didn't realize how odd of an occurence it was.

yea! i remember my stagefright nursing in public at first - i never guessed i'd do it either... i was shopping with a gal pal who had a baby just a week apart from me. she was totally comfortable b****** in public, so when the babes were hungry, we stopped in a courtyard a fed them. great experience compared to last thansgiving with family feeling the need to hide in the bedroom for 1/2 the day, feeling loney. yuck. i remember feeling such freedom when felt i didn't have to try to go hide somewhere! makes you feel more human, imo!
