What kind of plates/bowls do you have?
DD is 6 months 1 week and 5 days. We are just introducing solids. I want to invest in some silverware and bowls/plates and cups for DD. Annyone have any recommendations? I'm not feeling so great about plastic these days but are there any other options?
I don't use the microwave too often so I don't care if they are microwave friendly, but I would like to put them in the dishwasher if possible. I feel as though the dishes get cleaner in there than when I hand wash them. TIA!

Re: What kind of plates/bowls do you have?
I use the Munchkin ones with lids and suction cups. We don't put any of DS's things in the dishwasher or microwave. When it has to be re-heated we put the food in one of our bowls first.
Actually now he eats more off of his tray, lol, since he's all about self-feeding.

Re: What kind of plates/bowls do you have?
I just bought a set from Ikea the other day in preparation for starting solids in a couple of weeks. I don't know if they are all like this...but they are grippy on the bottom so they don't slide...pretty cool.

We use the Ikea ones too, the ones that are a rainbow of colors. If you don't have an Ikea nearby, you can buy them on ebay for a very reasonable price. Ours have been going strong for almost 4 years. I just bought more because we've lost a bunch somehow.

Re: What kind of plates/bowls do you have?
Another vote for the IKEA rainbow dishes. I bought a complete set on eBay (6 plates, cups, bowls, and flatware) for under 20 bucks. Cute, durable, diahwasher safe, and BPA-free!

Wow, I didn't know about the Ikea dishes! I'll have to pay them a visit soon!
