the new ones for me is: "what a busy girl" - she crawled early and is cruising. she is happy and i am fine with it.

oh, and "oh a necklace, that doesn't seem safe" b/c of the amber teething necklace. i just say, "well, she always has it on so she never notices it" . . . but why defend my choice to try something!

i think having "your hands full" isn't a bad thing . . . we all do at some point! with 1 or 10 !

It's annoying to me when people mean it to be snarky or disapproving. I had that type of encounter at Walmart last week! Uggh!!...
Read: http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=550229

And you know, I may have my hands full but I love it and it's not a bad thing! I think some people just don't know what to say sometimes and instead of thinking before they speak they just say something....

Sorry mama

I think I'm going to start by replying " I love having my hands full!"

If I get that comment I usually respond with "Yep, full hands and a full heart."

The only comments I've gotten are babywearing ones. A couple people have come up and told me babywearing is bad or dangerous, and I simply asked them on what credible research they were basing that on and if they would care to cite it.

Re: "Boy you got your hands full" vent/?

To be honest, I am quite sick of this specific comment.
I only have a toddler and an infant, it's not like I'm toting around 8 kids.
I manage quite fine, one is always being worn, the other walks or is in a light stroller/shopping cart. It's not like he's running wild and I'm struggling to hold the baby or anything.
But every freakin time I leave the house, at least one person in each store says that very comment.
It gets annoying! I don't take offence to it, it's just darn annoying.

Last shopping trip I did 10 stops in 3 hours. And I got that comment 11 times! Grrrrr

Finally I said to one person - "You would not believe how many times I have heard that in the last two years!" I just had to reply with something other than a mumbled "ummm sure."

I may just start asking why they think that because I really do suck at witty replies.

I always get this comment about TWINS. Not about having three kids, it's when I say I have twins. And then they get all nosey and ask 100 personal questions. My *favorite* question is "Did you use fertility drugs?" ITS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS LADY.

But uh, anyways. Yeah, I get that alot. Usually I ask them why they say that, and usually they have no come back.
