Anyone used a woombie?

http://www.thewoombie.com/index.html

My babies loved to be swaddled. Looks neat but I'm not sure if it's worth buying or not?

Any experience?

Hmmmm interesting. I've never seen them before. I'll follow along to see what others say!

Re: Anyone used a woombie?

I know this is a really old thread. . . but I found it while I was deciding to try the woombie or not and no one has written about their experience.
Sooo. . . I just got my woombie last night and let me tell you, I am in LOVE.

I don't know how I have lived so long without it!!! Usually, at bedtime I swaddle my little one, feed her and lay her down asleep. She generally fusses though much of this process and if her swaddling comes undone at all (and it ALWAYS does) she doesn't sleep for long. Last night I put her Woombie on, fed her, burped her and layed her down still awake, she seemed so content. . . minutes later she was asleep- and the BEST part is she stayed asleep from 9pm to almost 8am :-) AH! Finally!
I've tried other "swaddling" blankets- most of them were a joke - it doesnt take much for a baby to wiggle out of velcro- and for the long babies like mine finding something that will fit can be an issue. I'm so happy I tried this and I wanted to share it with you mamas :-)

Here is a picture (She is kind of making a funny face-LOL)

Off topic! But, the blanket your lo is laying on in the picture, would you be willing to part with it? My niece had one as her lovey, she's 16m old and my brother just got custody and the mom (whos a real piece of work) wont give any of the babies things to my brother, which isnt that big of a deal as he can afford to buy her bed/clothes/toys its just her blankie that cant be replaced as they dont sell it any more, just thought i would ask

Thank you so much! And your timing is perfect. Looks like they just came out w/ a new and improved version (which you got) and my baby isn't even born yet. Off to look again.

Re: Anyone used a woombie?

What a neat invention! You could probably replicate it by using a tight blanket sleeper and tying knots in the arms.
