Re: How old was your LO when they learned to walk?

My son took his first steps at 9.5 months. By 10.5 months he was running! I was so surprised because my family is notorious for having late walkers. I didn't walk until 16 months, my niece didn't walk until 17 months.

DD took three wobbly steps 5 days shy of 9 months. Now she is 9.5 months and is still working on those wobbly steps, but she can fly across a room holding on to furniture. I think any day now she will be officially walking.

I've got the slowpokes here! Both girls started crawling exactly 4 days after turning 11 months old. And both girls started walking just after 16 months old.

Neither one was all that interested in moving, they were both concentrating on talking instead.

DS was 13 months old, but DD is almost 14 months and really not showing signs of walking soon. She pulls herself up and stands, but that is about it.

DS1 took his first steps a few days before his first birthday. DS2 just now started walking around 15-16 months. Hed pull up and stand, stumble a few steps, but nothing. Hes really gotten the hang of it just this past week.

My DD, who shows no interest in walking, is a chatterbox! She even talks in her sleep, literally. She loves being touched, held & having big, long, very involved conversations; she is our co-sleeper too. I knew she would worry about mobility less than her sister.

Her sister is interested in talking, but not as much. She doesn't wish to be held as much either. As long as you are in the same room, she is fine w that. She crawls off to play, looks for you, gives you a big smile when she finds you & continues to play. If you leave the room, she will just follow, she is okay as long as you are in the same room. I knew she would walk first, even if it is only a few steps.

Mia started really walking at 14.5 months. Took real steps at 11 months, a few steps at 13.5 months and then real walking at 14.5 months. Elizabeth has taken a few steps, but no walking. She turned one on Sunday

Re: How old was your LO when they learned to walk?

My DS was 15 mo. before he started walking. He had taken a couple of very small steps months before that but just wasn't in any hurry to do any more. He was very cautious. He was a full term baby. Now that he's started there's no stopping him! He is full speed ALL the time!
