Re: How long do you plan to BF?

I'm aiming for 3-6 months this time around. I don't make nearly enough milk to sustain a growing baby but I try to give them every bit I can for the first few months to get them off to a good start. I think I made it to about 2-3 months with my other LOs (with formula supplementation) but I'm hoping some of the extra herbs I plan to try this time around will help me go a bit longer.

If I did make enough milk and could nurse for as long as I wanted to, I'd probably aim for about 12 months or so if I could manage to swing it with my school schedule.

Re: How long do you plan to BF?

My little guy is at 8 months and I'm surprised at how much I'm loving it, more and more as time goes by! I plan on CLW but I kinda think around 2 to 2 1/2....we'll see. I'm open to change!

My previous 2 I breastfed for roughly 12 months and they weaned themselves.

This one will have at least 12 months... maybe more depending on how things are going.

Re: How long do you plan to BF?

Well, my daughter is 33 months old now and I would like to let her wean when she is ready but now, my husband is starting to say he would like her wean by the middle of next year so she would be three and a half. I do not want to force her though especially as we are supposed to be moving out of the country in the next couple of months. It's going to be a rough time for her and I want nursing to be available to her.

CLW... haven't put any limits on it. I don't know how I feel about nursing beyond 4, but I can't say I'd put a specific limit on it.

Unfortunately I think DD will be done way before 4 years. She's nearly 20 months and she's down to 0-2 feedings a day, sometimes only a tiny bit once a day and sometimes nothing. I was really hoping to BF her with my next one in January, but I'm starting to think she won't last that long! I hope she gets interested again once the new baby brings my milk back in!

Poll is closed but I vote CLW even if it's over 4.5 years. We're over 2 years now.
