Unhappy I try so hard not to be judgemental

but when people post things on the birth board I'm part of like this:
Quote:
but Jax has now figured out VERY WELL that when he cries i usually pick him up after 5 or 10 mins.
and then 15 minutes later posts this:
Quote:
WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO he finally cried himself to sleeeeep!!! YAY!!!
I just can't help but feel so bad for that poor baby!

I'm just amazed at what some people think is ok when it comes to caring for our tiny babies (born in June).

Re: I try so hard not to be judgemental

Poor baby I know what you mean though, I am a part of a born-in board for my son and it is very "mainstream", and so many of those mamas let their LO's CIO when they were 2 or 3 months old. I am personally not a fan of CIO at any age, but certainly not that tiny, at that age they are still learning to trust that mama will come when she is needed.

How can anyone says WHOOO HOOO he cried himself asleep?...ummm sounds so sad. I know I try not to judge, but I wouldn't be bragging or cheering that my child had to cry themselves to sleep.

That is gross. I won't let my 2 year old cry, I can't imagine letting and infant cry themselves to sleep, then brag about it double

I am getting people telling me to let DS cio. I just cant. I'll let him fuss but when he cries I go to him. It is killing me though. He is 9 months old and has only stn once. Up usually around 2-3 times a night.

It's sad that a mama would do that.. especially to a child so young!
