What's your fav. crock pot recipe?

i made this tonight and it's a keeper.
I followed some suggestions of other's on the site and used chix broth instead of water and used the fat free. low sodium chix sp but it still came out good. i also added fresh carrots and celery. it definatly needs some veggies...

INGREDIENTS
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons butter
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 onion, finely diced
2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces
DIRECTIONS
Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough water to cover.
Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High. About 30 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

I made this yesterday, and it was yummy!!! My only problem is that it cooked a lot quicker than expected (and my crock pot was on low), and then started to scorch the sides, so we had dinner about an hour and a half early. Thankfully, SO had stayed home from work! But I loved how tender the chicken turned out to be, and the cream of broccoli made a nice gravy to go over the brown rice! Yuuuuummy.

I use my crockpot a lot. I've got similar recipes for things that a lot of pp have already put up, and now I'll have some more! THANKS! Never thought of lasagna!!

I HATE pork chops, but my mom finally found a way for me to like them! Haha at 29! We went up there for dinner one night and when she put a pork chop on my plate I just looked at her. She told me I HAD to try it or I'd be sent to my room! HAHA!!! LOL!!
THEY WERE DELICIOUS!!

Basically this is what she did ...

Bought a jar of generic apricot preserves from the store. I am thinking like the 6oz size.
Put a package of pork chops into the bottom of the pot. (Hehe.. take it out of the package first and just put the MEAT from the package in the bottom)
Put the entire jar of apricot preserves over the meat. Now refill the preserves jar with apple, peach, pear or apricot juice and pour that in too. Let cook all day!

Mmmm... they are soooo moist. THey fall right off the bone. Mm... and they have a nice sweet flavor, but not too sweet!

ohh good thread... my stew reciepe is...

stewing meat (beef or venison)
chopped baby carrots
1 clove garlic
1 small onion
1 stalk celery
cut and cubed potatos
1 package oxo beef stock
1/2 can of crushed tomatos OR 1 can tomato soup

Kate's Chicken (got from a mama who's on DS, but know from another board)

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 pkg dry italian dressing mix
1/2-3/4 C water (depending on how long you're going to cook it)
1 8oz cube of cream cheese
1 can cream of chicken

Add chicken, dressing & water to crock pot & cook 4-6hrs on Low. Remove chicken & shred, set aside. Mix cream cheese & soup in with liquid, add shredded chicken and let cook another 30 mins. Serve over noodles, rice, mashed potatoes, etc.


Bean Soup

1 pkg mixed beans for soup
1 pkg of ham hocks
1 small onion, chopped
1 can diced tomatoes
1tsp chili powder
1tsp cumin
1tsp garlic powder
salt/pepper to taste

Soak beans overnight (I soak in my cold crock pot) Drain & rinse. Put in 1.5Q water, ham hocks & beans. Cook for 4-6hrs on low. Remove bones, add onions, tomatoes & spices, cook for another 1/2-1hr on high. Serve with bread &/or green salad!
