Diaper Swappers

Yesterday I noticed K had a rash on his back. It was a VERY crazy day, and I can't remember if it was morning or evening when I noticed it.

It's restricted to his lower back, and hasn't spread since I first noticed it. It's small red dots, raised, some look like pimples. No fever, not irritable, he's acting completely normal. He has about a dozen or so spots, I'll get a picture a bit later.

He DOES have eczema, but this looks nothing like any of his eczema patches. I can't think of anywhere he may have been exposed to chicken pox in the last couple weeks. Mom did take him with her to my little sisters dance class one day, but there weren't any other children in the waiting area that day. Conjunctivitis has been going around their school, but he hasn't come down with that anyway.

We don't do daycare, he doesn't go to preschool, and aside from my little brother and sister, he doesn't get around other children much at all right now. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, I'd just make sure he was feeling ok and deal with it.

His 3 year old cousin has her birthday party tomorrow, and we were all really looking forward to going.

She was having a petting zoo and pony rides, Kaiden LOVES LOVES LOVES animals!

looks like pox to me too mama, I wouldn't take him to the party, f it is chickenpox, its not fair to the others attending to be exposed.

really hard to tell mama, but chickenpox looks like blisters with clear fluid in it.

i thought my ds had chickenpox last week and the ped said you'd know b/c they'd start to scab over w/in 24 hrs, and they'd be in different stages (some still coming out). my ds had something awful called erythmea multiforme which I wish it had been chicken pox! It's cleared up now, though.

Not sure what it is, but it doesn't look like chickenpox to me.

I dont think its chickenpox. Im thinking bed bugs or black flies. My dd got something like that in August, and didnt know what it was. She had one on her back, and them mostly her legs. I think there was another mama on here that posted pics like that too. dont think she found out what it was either. Except maybe the black flies or bed bugs.
