Re: What's the first food you introduced to your 6-month-old EBF baby?
Bananas. We tried to do BLW and just gave her a banana (without the skin).
The BLW didn't work out as we planned and we are now giving her pureed foods as well, but she still gets whole bananas (but now with the skin). A lot of it gets wasted, but this week I found "Chiquita Minis" They are perfect for her! (DD is 7 months old) I can't help but rave about a new baby food brand I found ... it's called Happy Baby. It's in the frozen section. It's all organic. (In Hannaford it's in the natural foods section). I try to give her all homemade stuff so I know exactly what she is getting (and no preservatives), but if I can't do that due to time constraints, I still feel pretty good about Happy Baby. I DREADED starting solids since I love BFing and didn't want her to wean. However, she still loves BFing AND she loves solids. Seeing her delight with the solids is pretty awesome too. (And since the day she was born, DH has been waiting for the day he could feed her ... )
