Re: How many hours of pump'n'dump after alcohol or medication?

I'd go with what Hale says, which is, no need to pump and dump after alcohol, for one thing. And also no need after general anesthesia. Whatever pain meds you're gonna take, I'd look up on his site and go with whatever he says.

Re: How many hours of pump'n'dump after alcohol or medication?

Depending on the medication you shouldn't have to pump and dump, even under general anesthesia or for pain medication. I had surgery for my gall bladder WHILE I was pregnant and then had complications from a left over stone for the next 9 months (Until he was three months old). I had to undergo general anesthesia both while pregnant and while nursing. I did a CT scan (without contrast), took fentynol, vicodin, percocet, morphiene, and tylenol 3 for the duration of my pregnancy and until he was 3 months old. (Vicodin or percocet was daily to manage the dibilitating pain). It was all safe for breastfeeding.
