Re: A weaning forum!

I think its very important to keep it separate. Lots of moms on here look down on those of us who choose not to do child led weaning, so they get no help or lots of attitude from the moms in breastfeeding support. I am excited that moms who need help can get it now!

I really would have liked for him to CLW.. but I was kinda hoping that would have happened by now you know?! LOL! He is 2 1/2 now and I just really hope to have him done before he turns 3 anyways.

Re: A weaning forum!

Yay! This is cool. I'm not weaning my twins yet, but I will be around 12 months. I want my cycle back so I can have another round of IVF. I have babies waiting in the freezer and I want them out. I have to have my cycle back (or have stopped nursing) for 3 months before they will do the next transfer. Since no cycle in sight, it looks like weaning for us. Plus, BF'ing is a big struggle for us and I'll totally be ready to stop fighting. So to the new sub-thread. I've noticed it's looked down upon by some on here, so I totally appreciate a safe place to discuss it and not be judged.

Re: A weaning forum!

Am I the only one who thinks that this should be in Introducing Solids? FF mamas need help with weaning from the bottle, too, and solids directly relate to the process of weaning. It doesn't bother me to have it here, I just think it might be more beneficial to have it in the Solids forum.

i think maybe this forum was put here because BF'ing mamas don't always support each other in the weaning process, but i do see your point... weaning from a bottle can be pretty difficult, too!! You just don't get as much flack when you decide to wean from a bottle...
i seriously hope i worded that all correctly and didn't tick anyone off

Re: A weaning forum!

I'm thrilled to see this forum!! I've posted lately about help with weaning and gotten little to no help. I need to wean so that I can start taking meds that I can't take while nursing. It's for my health, not b/c I don't want to nurse anymore.
