How often does your 12 month+ DC nurse at night?

I was just wondering how often everyone's DC who are at least a year old are nursing throughout the night? It seems that my 13 month old DD nurses more often now during the night than she did when she was younger. Everytime she wakes up or rolls over or anything she wants to nurse. She is still nursing 5 or 6 times a night, mostly for comfort not really drinking much.

I can't vote - my DS is 17 months and nurses 0 times a night! He nurses 2X each day.

Hard for me to answer this! My almost 14 month old (tomorrow!) nurses basically ALL night, but since she does stop once in a while, I have to say 7+ times...and YES I know what you mean about nursing more now than as a baby!! She never was awake this much, in fact she USED to sleep through the night, those were the days!!

Well if i vote for the last few nights its like a million, he wants to sleep with the boob in his mouth, so i don't get any good sleep. Last night he had to cry a little laying next to me after hours of nursing, and he fell asleep and slept good for a long time.

My daughter quit nursing at night around 6 months...so I can't answer either. At 12 months nursed about 6 times a day.

Re: How often does your 12 month+ DC nurse at night?

I can't believe I forgot to put zero times per night in the poll. Since we have never even been close to a non nursing night I kind of forgot that that was even an option. Well I am glad to see that I am not the only one nursing all night long. With so many people acting shocked when they find out that my over 1 year old still does not sleep through the night sometimes I feel like I am doing something wrong.

My DD just started sleeping through the night, like 3 days ago. Up to that point she was still nursing 3+ times every night. I finally came to the point where I couldn't keep it up. The first 2 nights she woke up in her crib and I told her to lay down and go to sleep and it actually worked! Last night she just slept through. It was a bittersweet victory. I like snuggling with her, but I needed some rest.

My 2 year old nurses I would have to say 2-3 times a night. Sometimes, it is just 0 times, sometimes it is 10000000 times... LOL The joys of BFing a toddler.

My dd is only almost 9 months so I can't really answer but right now she is averaging about twice a night.
