Question Could DS Be TEETHING Already?!?!

He will be 10 weeks on Wednesday... I think he is teething because he is very irratible, found his hands and is sucking and chewing on them and even seems irratible at my breast.... My poor baby . I will have to find the teethers and get that baby ambisol stuff... I did buy some baby Motrin a few weeks ago, just in case...

That seems VERY early . . . but it could just be the beginning of it Try the Hyland's Teething Tabs before the Motrin (which I was told you could not do Motrin until 6 mos. Tylenol is ok). A cool washcloth to suck on is always helpful too.

My LO has been teething for the last 3 mos!

I know I got my first tooth at 3 months old, so yes it's possible. And I second the pp, babies are not supposed to have ibuprofen until 6 months old. I've heard great things about the Hyland's though!

Yeah, the Pedi Nurse told me that. I kept it since I had Tylenol but why if you are so far from using it . . . the teething tabs will be helpful w/ the fussiness too (which I personally found that pain relivers aren't!)

My DS2 started to teeth around 3 months and cut his first tooth at 4 months. The thing that worked for him was a cool teething ring. HTH!

Re: Could DS Be TEETHING Already?!?!

I went and got the Hylands, sheesh what an ordeal... I went to riteaid, and the shelf (after 20 mins of looking) was empty! I just happen to go talk to the pharmacist and turned around and there was some in the health food section too, but a huge bottle of them.. I hope they work, they havent made much of a difference in his irratibility/suspected teething...

my dd is four months, at 3.5 months she started chewing on her hands, drooling a ton, and her gums started swelling. 10 weeks is so early, but it could be starting. good luck - dd1 also teethed at 4 months and it was awful.

My ds#2 cut his first teeth at 8weeks. I was shocked! He had a full set of teeth at 7 months. He started losing his teeth early too at 4yrs.
