The more I read about vaxing...

The more it scares me! Doing all the research, it's so sad how many infants have been lost from vaxing and have had it called a "sids" death. I know a girl who lost her daughter at 17 days old, 2 days after her dr appt, they called it sids. SIDS is virtually unheard of under 2 months old and it seems to be a very abused term!

I thought I was only going to delay vax...so far I have ruled out MMR completly, hep B, and chicken pox...I still have a bunch more to research.

I've been researching vaxes for six years now, and the more I read, the more disturbed I get.

Re: The more I read about vaxing...

Yeah, my first daughter had her shots up to 12 months...they did some wrong and wanted to redo them...claiming they were perfectly safe, that's when I started doing my own research.

My second daughter had her first set of shots at 2 months old...none since then.

I feel terribly guilty now about not researching these before I let them inject my children with stuff that could be potentially deadly!

Me too! I had a leg up on it though, I guess you could say, having had reactions in the family, I know what they can cause. I was a lucky one I guess. No vaccinations for me! (and somehow I'm still alive, and i made it though Chickenpox, imagine that! lol)

Re: The more I read about vaxing...

I know, my heart skips a beat everytime I try to think this thru!

DD #1 is 3 and fully vaxed (didn't know any better)

DD #2 is 7 months old and has only had the HEP B at the hospital (I don't ever remember consenting too)

I am reading the work of Dr.Stephanie Cave and I am struggling with what vaxes to give next and when to do it? I am not ready to say NO to vaxing - but I am struggling moving forward with vaxing, yk?

We took our 7 month old to the ER last week (I thought she was having a seziure) and when the triage nurse asked me if her vaxes were current - I said "NO" I got some very angry looks thrown my way. **sigh**

Now I am reading about all of the autoimmune disorders that could be linked to vaxes - my family has several - so now that scares me!

I am scared, angry, sad, and confused about all of this!

Re: The more I read about vaxing...

Don't even get me started on the confusion I feel for this topic. My heart breaks knowing that I have to make this decision for my DC.
1st DS 2 1/2 is fully vaxed (didn't know any better, but always felt uneasy about it)
2nd DS is 5 months and so far is up to date, but I'm pretty sure we will be changing things at least a bit. His 4 month appt. I almost got sick I felt so wrong about it. Why do I let those drs bully me

Can someone just come up with the perfect answer. ***sigh***

Re: The more I read about vaxing...

Vaccines scare the crap outta me. The more I read, the more my stomach turns that I didn't research it with my first 2 and blindly followed the reccomendation of our Ped. Thank the Lord that they are OK.

What sickens me even more is alllll these new vax's they are coming up with and getting approved at lightening speed. Rotovirus, Hep A, "cervical cancer" vax. And they advertise for them in Parents Magazine, like you would advertise for a new toy or childrens video. It's really very scary.

I too have vax'd up until now...but all of them but 1 are behind now because I am so uneasy about it that it sickens me.

Where are you reading at? I want to do some more research.
