How do you feel about green poo?

LOL, I've heard some people say it's bad, and had one person tell me not to worry about it. Is it OK or normal. I think they both poo green most of the time anymore.

Totally normal from yellow to green... look out for mucous and blood.

What does the mucous look like? Not the stringy stuff? LOL, I feel like a novice.

Re: How do you feel about green poo?

It looks like someone hawked a loogie (spelling??? gross I know) in your DC's diaper. It really does just look like snot. Sometimes it's poo colored and sometimes it's clear or even cloudy sage green--just like boogies. I know but you asked! LOL! It's not an emergency thing unless it's prolonged. Usually it just means that something irritated their tummy. If you have several diapers like this call your Dr/Ped.

Re: How do you feel about green poo?

I agree with the pp...totally normal. If it's mucousy (just like your nose) it could indicate a virus or teething (but probably not at two months). If it's green and frothy, it could indicate a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance (I think that's actually pretty rare). As long as they are gaining happy, etc... I say don't worry about it!

DD's poos while she was ebf ranged from bright orange to an orangish green color. If they get dark green and hard it means they are not getting enough hindmilk.

We get that orangy-yellow all the time too--I just say it's yellow. It's like orange with yellow seeds. TMI!!!

I think green poo is but I think all poo is . I agree w/ everyone else. But if you are truely concerned you could block feed for a while and see if that makes it go away
