HOW is this not a sticky??? It should be required reading for all CDing mamas!

This thread has been fantastic - I'm due with my first in March, and while I know what I want to use once baby fits into the once size, I've been AGONIZING over what to get for the newborn stage, or if I should even get anything (DH and I were both 8+ lbs).

It's become the family joke that every few days I would announce "I've changed the newborn diaper plan again!". Luckily, DH has a sense of humor.

When someone first posted the idea of a zippered wool sleepsack over a snappied prefold, I swear the angels sang. It's PERFECT for our family.

Now all I need to decide is whether I want to get some orange edge prefolds, or just fold down the backs of the green edges we already have...

Meconium does stain but it comes out easily if you dry them in the sun! I cloth diapered my second girl from birth and loved it. I used fitteds so I don't know about prefolds but I can't imagine why not.

ok quick update... DS is just over 2 weeks old and I'm so glad I got a variety of dipes. I find I'm liking fitteds w/PUL covers the best. seems like this lil guy is quite a soaker. I let DF use the BGs when he changes dipes, but i find they get soaked through pretty fast. I really liked the nana's bottoms AIOs I got for the first week because of the great fit. but he soaks thru them pretty fast now. I'm really thankful for the variety and happy I listened to the advice to avoid NB pockets since they're hard to stuff. I sewed a couple of super cute nb pockets from the rocket bottoms pattern, but yeah, they're hard to stuff and the welt pocket openings in front AND back, which aid in stuffing tend to extend too low and affect performance of the diapers. I guess I'll wait til he's bigger to try this awesome pattern out again.

Amen! It's like time has slowed to a crawl.... frustrating, since I know once baby gets here it's going to go way too fast!

OMG it's ridiculous. It seemed like my pregnancy with my daughter lasted all of a week lol, and with this one it seems like it's never going to end. I know there are multiple reasons why...but DANG! I guess it helped that I was practically working 24/7 when I was preggers with Ashlyn...and honestly, I think facebook ruined it...checking it every 20 seconds so as to not miss something...

Anyway, back to the subject at hand
