What do you think? - Baby boy name "Spade"

Hi mama's,

What is your first impression of "Spade" for a baby boy? Good, bad, like, love? We are having a tough time naming DS#2 that is due in January. His older brother is "Ryder". We have a very common last name so we have to go with different first names. His middle name would probably be James.

Thanks mamas!

It reminds me of David Spade, or when you get your cat "spayed"...not trying to be mean at all of course.

Small shovel.

Sorry mama, not a fan. I'm not a big fan of "objects" for names or of really out there names. I like more traditional, classic names.

I LOVE James though... such a strong name.

You'll find a name you love! It is hard... my son came so close to being named Junior!

I don't mind it.

It's really no different than Blade, Hunter, Clay.

It is unique and doesn't rhyme with alot of other names. In Kindergarten in our school there are 2 classes of approx 17 kids each. There is a Larissa & Terissa. 2 Connors. 2 Kaidens, 2 Aidans, Jayven, 1 or 2 other names that are close rhymes to these 5.

Something similar is Slade. If you are looking for unique names. Jayven's brother's names are Jantzen and Mazden.

It reminds me of David Spade, who totally annoys me...sorry. I do like pp's suggestion of Cade, though.
