What foods are ok for my 7mo DD?

My ped didn't give much guidance on food.
She has some teeth already, is really interested in what we are eating and loves picking food up and trying to eat new things. She seems to gum foods pretty well.
I have tried small chunks of banana, cooked apple and pear, cooked carrot and celery, etc.
She seems to really like it. How do I know if something is ok for her to eat?
What should I avoid?
Some of my friends with infants older than mine aren't feeding theirs as much as I am feeding mine...

I would keep up with the soft foods like you've been giving her and gradually increase the "lumpiness" so that she gets used to more solids. If you aren't sure, mash it up really well or give her really small pieces that she can't choke on. The only things I would really avoid would be things like grapes with skin, corn, or anything with seeds as they might get stuck in her throat. My DD is 9mos old and pretty much eats what we do now, and loves it!

Here is a list of foods to avoid due to being highly allergenic. A lot of the suggest holding off till at least 1yo, or later if you have a family risk of food allergies.

Here is a chart showing reccomended foods for introduction to a 6-8mo old.

www.wholesomebabyfood.com hassome really good info.

I asked my ped what DD can eat (6 months)...he said that she can have anything off the table with the exception of eggs, chocolate, honey, peanuts, and there was one other thing I can't remember it. So I would say that anything but that would be good.

well i'm not a doctor but i would say a lot of stuff out there suggests waiting to introduce proteins, dairy, soy, citrus, berries until the 9-10 month mark at least.
