Teething/Chewable Toys

So either dd is getting a tooth, or just dying to chew. We have some "teething" toys that she wants nothing to do with. What toys etc do you suggest? She's 5 months old, on the small side b/c she was preemie. So far her favorite thing to chew is her ssc carrier!

Mine never liked the teething toys either . Dd2 is teething now and she either chews on her fingers, a wet cloth wipe/washcloth, or (her favorite) the rubber cover for dh's Wii remote

DD#2 LOVED sophie the giraffe - she still at 15 months gets him out and chews on him occationally. She'd get those legs right where she needed them and go to town. I highly recommend him - he was worth every penny for us.

We love the HABA Kringelring! It's great for younger babies, and completely safe!

Re: Teething/Chewable Toys

Oh, and if she likes the ssc, she may like Under the Nile teethers. They are made from 100% organic cotton inside and out. They are a great company, too!

HABA and Selecta toys use non-toxic, water-based finishes. They have never had a recall due to lead poisoning (and they have been around for over 50 years)!

Montgomery Schoolhouse also makes some great unfinished toys, made in Vermont.

I hope that helps!

My dd is 17 months and still loves Sophie! Money well spent here and the only teether we need(ed) IMO. Food grade paints and Natural Rubber too!

We got one of the mesh feeders made by Munchkin...they run less than $5 at walmart & target. I usually stick a frozen peach slice or something to that effect in there and Brynlee goes to town. On the rare occasion that doesn't work, she just uses a cold wet washcloth.
