I haven't done it yet 'cause it is never sunny here when I wash, but everyone says lay them out wet in the sun and it will bleach them. Kind of like how it fades things sitting close to windows.

I tried that and my dipes didn't look any different. I tried a bunch with different types of stains, and not one looked different!

Yep, hanging them in the sun while wet will naturally bleach them and remove most stains. It works amazingly well!!

They have to be wet right out of the wash It works like magic! It usually take an hour or less for most of the stains to go away. That's if it is a very sunny day

Oh yes, sunshine will do it! Took less than an hour today for our bf poo stains. It always amazes me!! Even better on a warm winter day when there's still snow for the sun to reflect off it. Now that is some power whitening!

Sun, sun, sun!! Hang them outside in the sun when wet!! You will be amazed!! You mentioned it didn't work at first... maybe try a different location in the yard or the middle of the day when the sun is brightest or even a couple days in a row!! Good luck & hope it's more sunny where you are then it is here at the moment!!

So how should I wash them to begin with?
Do you soak yours until wash day?
