Thumbs up how long will homemade applesauce last....

i made about 8 lbs of applesauce the other night. we probably had 2 when it was hot.

there's still alot leftover, can i freeze it? how long will it last in the fridge?

I'm not sure how long it would last in the fridge, but you can definitely freeze it!

I always can mine, but an open jar has lasted as long as three weeks in the fridge, I think. You can totally freeze it, if I had no jars that's what I would do.

Freezing works great. Not sure how long it's good to leave it in there as I just started doing it this year but it tastes great when defrosted. I've actually been freezing them in the canning jars to avoid the BPA in the lids when heated & canned. I'm hoping that putting a layer of wax paper inbetween the applesauce and the lid will keep it from leaching into my food. Who knows?!
