yep... #1- burped but never need much of an effort, #2 had to be but still spit up everywhere anyways... didn't stop till about 7 months, #3 just slight burps but that's it. It's very strange in which kid needs the burping and how much. My #3 would give out huge burps too!

when my daughter was breastfeeding. she never was burped. she just did it on her own. she never spit up either. Now that she is on formula it is the same. no spit up and she burps right when she is done.

My son was never NOT burped. I always always had to burp him, and if not he'd spitup (sometimes did anyway). If I didn't burp him, he'd be really gassy and uncomfortable as well. Lots of breastfed babies need to be burped because I know my milk came out really fast which caused him to gulp air.

nope, I did burp Gavin the frist few months but I stopped cause he'd start spitting up if I burped him, and if I let him burp on his own, he'd be fine! He burps JUST fine on his own he sounds like a grown up sometimes heheheh so yeah don't burp Gavin, stopped once I figured out what was goin on with him lol

I never burped Aydin, but I always have to burp Asher. In fact, I can hear Asher gulping air.

Re: Silly ?: Do you burp your BF baby?

both my older two always burped by themselves as soon as they were upright. brighton i can tell when he needs to burp b/c his breathing will get really "squeky" he spits up all the time regardless of being burped or not though. if he burps he spits up with it, and if he doesn't burp he still spits up  dunno what the deal is. the other day he spit up and my niece said something to my sister about it and she said "well if he spit up again go get the spit rag" and sadee "say, "spit up"...if that's what you want to call it" LOL. as far as sadee is concerned he's flat out puking

but yeah, i think some babies just gulp some air is all! as for those of us who have babies that spit up regardless......we'll just keep wearing dh's t-shirts right
