Cloth Pull-Ups?

Anyone use these, or know of a pattern that someone has used? I'd like to stop buying them and my daughter still pees a lot at night and refuses to wear a "diaper". Help... PM me as I hate chasing threads... Thx.

Ditto Daddy is a like a cloth pull up kind of. It is basically underwear with a snap in soaker.

I would like to get something that is more like pull ups though. My son wears them at night and nap also.

Re: Cloth Pull-Ups?

I have used Wee Weka Pull-On Training Knickers pattern from this site:
http://www.thenappynetwork.org.nz/diy.php

I spliced the pattern to make a center panel with a cute woven (like Dora the Explorer) and made a soaker of hemp. Then I used a super stretchy lycra for the side panel. I also made some with some as the pattern directed. My kids loved them!

I *should* make some more for my bigger girl Carolyn since I am in the market for trainers, but no way that is happening with a newborn.

ETA:
Here are some pics of the trainers I made with that pattern. I suggest making one for size first, and adjusting as needed. Especially with the side panel design because there is less knit fabric for stretch.

Re: Cloth Pull-Ups?

Katrina's Sew Quick pattern can be modified to make a pull on diaper/training pants.

First, size up at least one, maybe two sizes, and just cut the body section. Make three layers--a layer next to toddler's skin (I'd use flannel if you're working on potty training) an absorbant layer in the middle, (again, can be flannel, hemp, bamboo, etc) and then your "waterproof" layer on the outside (PUL, Fleece, wool) You can attach a soaker to the middle layer or you can do a snap in one, whatever your preference is. A snap in would dry quicker.

Stitch your three layers together, right sides together, at the top, bottom, and around the legs. In the seam allowance, use your widest zigzag to attach elastic in each of those seams (front, back, around the legs). Turn the diaper right side out through one of the holes on the sides. Topstitch a casing around the elastic. right sides together, stitch closed the sides

You're done.

Re: Cloth Pull-Ups?

not the OP but thanks for posting that pattern.

I have a bunch of PUL trainers from the Darling pattern, they are nice, but way diaper-y and probably too hot. I ended up not using trainers w/my daughter ut I saved them for my son. I'm not sure if I'll use them.
