Do you know when your milk is about to let down?

I've bfed all of my children and I never noticed this until my 3rd...and now I'm experiencing it again with my 4th.

About 30 seconds before my milk letsdown (whether I'm nursing or not) I get a really gross, disgusted, depressed feeling...then my milk lets down. I consider it my warning sign if I don't have nursing pads in and can't put pressure on my nipples to stop it, lol. I'm just curious though if anyone else felt anything like this? I think its more apparent when it happens while I'm not nursing, like if she's sleeping or something. Oh, and she's about 4 weeks old.

My breasts "tingle" when my milk lets down, but I never get a bad feeling.

I can feel the milk ducts filling up, it's kind of like how when your foot falls asleep and you stomp it on the floor, and all the blood rushing back into it makes it feel achy and tingly. That's the best way I could describe it.

When the milk lets down, the best i can describe it that way: feels just like when you feel like crying and the tears are coming in and it almost hurt ... then it gets better once it starts flowing down
3 1/2 years of bf
no bad feelings for me but i do get thirsty

I just get a tingling feeling. No bad feelings, but I have heard of it. Wish I could remember what it was called

I don't experience this, but while pregnant, I would often have a negative, depressed hopeless feeling every time I had a (braxton hicks) contraction. I could't figure out why....it was only during the contraction. Some of the same hormonal mechanisms are in play with bf'ing as with contractions so I wonder if that might be the explanation. I asked my midwife about it but she looked at me like I had 2 heads.

Wow, some midwife!

Anyway, I always feel like someone is squeezing my breasts on the inside while trying to push them out of my body. Hmmm...sounds pretty traumatic when I actually write out what it's like for me! lol. It is somewhat painful, but it is mostly just pressure. Ok, I'm just rambling now.
