A friend of mine IRL (not online) has done this. When her DS was born in 12/03 her DD was 3 and started nursing again after weaning during the pregnancy. Then 11 months later (11/04) DD#2 came along and she nursed all three. Shortly after DD#1 fourth birth in early 2005 she weaned on her own so Noa (my friend) was down to two nurslings.

Then in May 06 DD#3 was born. So now she's nursing DS (almost 3), DD#2 (almost 2), and DD#3 (6 months old).

She's my hero!

not tandem but my 17 month old is nursing & will for until he weans. My dd was nursed for 2 years, she stopped on her terms, then potty learned 2 weeks later - on her own!

I nursed Maia until she was 2, she weaned when I was 8 weeks pregnant with Sage and admitted to the hospital for a perforated bowel Sage is almost 18 months and going strong.

She has the cutest shirt. The front says "still nursin" the back says "jealous?"

Still nursing Aydin (20 months) right along with Asher (7 weeks!) I don't think I plan on child-led weaning, but have no plans to stop anytime soon.

Wow, there are a lot of us here!!

Twin tandem nursers- you have my admiration! Tandeming with a toddler is easy- he just pops on and off when he wants and takes what supply he gets, but positioning and truly keeping up supply for two babies is a great feat!!

And the mom who nursed three babies, WOW! I can only wish to be so lucky one day!

(I love the "still nursing; jealous?" shirt!!)

Re: How many extended/ tandem nursers are here?

I'm new here, but I wanted to say that I have been exclusively nursing my 14 mo too!! I love it and don't plan on quiting until she wants too. Well I'm gonna gets TONS of pressure from DH at two, but I'll deal with that then. Anyway, HI! To everyone. I dont know anyone who has nursed passed three months IRL except my mom who nursed all three of us kids for at least one year each. (Not at the same time) Other than that I have no support except from these boards!!
