at how many kids did your house go from " form" to "function"?

I think I might be driving myself nuts about it...

When it was just us and Allison our house was matchy and clean..
After we had Gage it was still "neat" and still all " matchy" until he started walking and it's only getting worse

Now there is NOT a room without 10 toys in it even our bathroom the kids have their own,

I'm just thinking I'm wasting my time trying to keep the "form"aka looks of the house and just go to the function side and heck to how it looks..lol..but just wondering what others did to feel "adult"...I don't want my house to look like I don't have kids, but not like a daycare

I'm not sure our house ever had anything beyond function.

I try to keep my bedroom "form" so that I have a calm place to go every night or thoughtout the day for a "breather." The rest of my house looks like a tornado hit and has since the last part of my pg with #2.

I have 9 at home and I think our house still has form. We turned our garage into the "family room" where all the game stuff is and we turned the closet under the stairs into a "play room". Aside from that the toys are upstairs in the kids rooms and the baby's toys are in baskets in the coffee table. A messy house and clutter drives me batty though

Our house has NEVER had form! Even before we had kids! We're just waiting for the Dumpster Chic look to catch on so we can be fashionable.

We do a toy sweep every night before bed to get all of DS1's toys back into his room from all over the house. I get all the scattered baby things too. It's back to clutter the next day, but at least it keeps it from piling up on us. Nevertheless, our house will still always look like it has kids in it, which is not a bad thing at all.

form?? whats that?? is that where its supposed to be pretty and matchy?? HA!!

i try to keep a little bit of adult. i keep the toys that are in the living room in match the rest of the room baskets, and keep the kids stuff OUT of the master. (everything else ends up in there, buts thats something else entirely) and no toys in the kitchen, unless dd needs something to do her homework. bath toys live in a turtle stuck on the wall of the shower surround, but nothing else. i try to keep it in the living room and their room.

One, and it only took about 10 months
