wool dryer balls VS. spiky blue PVC balls?

Has anyone used both? Which is more effective?

I use the spiky blue balls currently... using them for more than a full year, at this point. And they're OK... they have cut my drying time (went from 48 minutes to 33), but it also seems like a lot of stuff, especially that made of organic cotton or thicker than average stuff takes a lot longer, too.

Basically... I just want to know which is more effective? I don't care too much, if they're scented or not, so that's not a selling point, IMO.

I dunno...but you could always use more in those loads.

I wish I had known my blue spikey ones were PVC before I bought them I have heard that heating PVC is one of the worst things you can do to it

If I had it to do over I would go another route

I already use 6. I was just liking that wool was a more natural approach, but they're more expensive obviously and I don't want to buy them just to see no difference at all.

I have used both and my wool ones. I actually just bought like 6 more cause I love how they work and they smell sooo good.

Those blue things just didn't do much for us at all.

I had the blue spiky balls until the pokey things started to come out. I'm trying wool balls next when I have the $.

I use wool ones. They're as effective as the plastic ones for me. They're also silent so you don't have to listen to them banging around

We used the blue ones forever, they worked fine but were very loud. We now have wool and they are just as effective and are sooooooo much quieter.

They have pressurized gas in them so they will explode!
(that's why the container 'hisses' when you open them-keeps them from going flat)
