When did yr LO first draw stick people?

DD painted a recognizable person yesterday! Of course, she then painted over it with many red strokes..... but it seems early to me. When did your LOs first draw stick people?

My DD was right around 36 months and DS just did for the first time the other day at 39 months. Isn't it so exciting when they first draw people!

dd1 is very artsy-crafty and started about the same time. She has just recently started adding little features like fingers and glassess. It's very exciting to watch them evolve isn't it?

Abbie is 30 months & has NO desire to color or draw. Cadence on the other hand is very into drawing. I think she started drawing people around 37-39 months. Now she is incorporating distinguishing features on her people - & making them mermaids too!

DS was 3ish when he started to make people, places and things. Also got very good at coloring in the lines, too.

DD1 drew not only a stick person but with a full featured head (eyes, ears, under eye lines, nose, hair, mouth) at 12 months.

DD2 did draw a stick figure until a month before her 4th birthday. Honestly we were a little worried.

DS is 32mo and has yet to do anything but scribble on every wall/surface he can find

WOW! Has she continued to be art-oriented?

No people yet. At 39 months we have horse-with-grass-in-mouth-on-grass-with-4-legs but no people She drew her first letter on her own this week. Well, painted it. Three nice lines and she sat back and declared "H! Cut it now!" (cut the paper off the roll, i.e. my work here is done; I need a new paper now) and then she procceded to draw about 6 more Hs, including Hs of different sizes that she dubbed Daddy, Mommy, and Baby Hs
