Best Advice For A Newbie

I couldn't wait to try cloth diapering so tonight I went out and bought some CPFs and covers, while I wait for a lot of fluffy mail. Currently our 8wk old is in one and seems so comfy.

I'm horribly new to this and my question is

What is your best advice for a newbie? What do you wish you knew when you first started CDing?

Thanks
Sarah

Don't go nuts buying a bunch of everything before you know what you like-which is so hard! Buy one or two of each type/brand/style that you want to try at a time, and go from there. If you find something you love, buy more. If you hate something, sell it. Don't get discouraged, some dipes just don't work well on some babies! Welcome to the CD world!

I agree with the above poster l

Also, buying used saves money and gives you a chance to try lots of things you might not have otherwise tried.

Keep in mind that there's a learning curve. Figuring out the best way to put on a prefold, how much to stuff in a pocket diaper, whether you like trim fits or fluffy butts, whether you prefer all-in-ones (AIOs) or fitteds with covers.....lots of choices, and since each child is different, it really is trial or error.

Good luck!

Oh my goodness! Well I hope you like them. I have never tried a fitted.

My advice (I'm also pretty new) would be to just grab this n that off of FSOT and find what you like.
