Re: Top ten reasons not to circumcise your son

Uncirc'ed boy question! My 3 1/2 year old is often saying his penis hurts, but it's usually when he needs to use the bathroom. Could this be just something he's saying because he's having trouble finding a way to describe the feeling of a full bladder, or maybe his foreskin is beginning to retract on it's own? I haven't really checked, because I don't want to try and pull anything back if it's not already happening on it's own. Thoughts?

Re: Top ten reasons not to circumcise your son

I dont know if its the same with your son, but my DS is 2 1/2 and just potty trained. When he has to pee, I notice him grabbing his penis a lot doing a little pee dance. Maybe he made it a little sore from playing with it when having to go? Doing that can also casue it to start retracting. If its not red or swollen or hurts to the touch, Im sure he is fine.

sounds like when my son was retracting on his own. it also got slightly red and swollen but it went away soon enough.

Re: Top ten reasons not to circumcise your son

I just re-watched the Wash Your Hands Clean of the AAP video and I got all teary eyed.

LOL I'm so pregnant. I'm just so glad that I've crossed this bridge before. No one will be surprised when my baby is intact this time.

Re: Top ten reasons not to circumcise your son

There are reasons not to circumcise, but there are also reasons to circumcise. I recommend doing your research yourself and deciding what is right for your family instead of basing anything on a year's old thread with false information, not to mention highly biased.
