Can I start this weeks meal plan?

I've never done it before (for a whole week) but I want to plan meals this week b/c I will probably be stuck in the house all week with our weather (in the negative teens).

These are the dinners I have in my mind so far...

Spaghetti
Chicken strips n veggies
Mac n cheese
Tater tot casserole
Burritos

Brrrr!! Now that's cold!!

I haven't thought too far ahead yet. Tonight I made stuffed shells and I may make chilli tomorrow. That's all I got so far.

Re: Can I start this weeks meal plan?

I am using up what we have in the house for this week. I do have 3 things I need at the store tho for the week.

Tonight: Baked chicken, roasted potatoes from Pioneer woman blog, and a vegie?
Tuesday: Beef dish w/risotto
Wednesday: Hashbrown casserole w/ chicken and ham and mix vegies
Thursday: Tator tot casserole
Friday: Chicken sandwiches w/chips and finger vegies

Sat: My family Christmas. I just need to get the ham!
Sunday: Leftovers

My normal budget for the week is between $40 and $50 but this week I might get away with only $25-$30, I hope! I have been spending too much at the grocery store lately.

this is a good idea... I wish I was motivated enough to do this! I'm always scrambling last minute to find something for dinner.

Re: Can I start this weeks meal plan?

when I'm not motivated I love using www.kraftfoods.com one bag meals. There is a week's worth of dinners that you are supposed to be able to get from 1 bag worth of ingredients (it's just weekdays). I found shopping to be much less expensive on some of those weeks.

the rest of this week is still fly by the seat of my pants as far as dinner goes!
