Belly Binder Question

I am thinking of getting a belly binder because I can feel some weakness in my abdomen, it is actually kind of sensitive in the center. I had twins almost 3 weeks ago. Would a binder do me any good at this point? Or do I just need to deal with it until I have the energy to start exercising again? Has anyone had good results with a binder, if so what brands?

Here is my 2.5 week post partum belly.

Give yourself some time. I didn't feel like working out until around 8 weeks. I just started with some yoga and calisthenics. Lots of walking.

Right now your body is healing from delivery. Try to nap with baby as much as you can. Stretch! And eat well. You will bounce back in a month or two!

Ps... I never used a belly binder. I did focus on quick core work outs when I felt like exercising again. I felt unstable too but that went away after 6-8 weeks. Your twins will strengthen you ... My DD def did just hauling her around the house!

Re: Belly Binder Question

Thanks! I never got around to getting one. When I touch my abdomen I can feel a gap down the middle. I am going to ask my doctor about it next time I go in.

Re: Belly Binder Question

I would get a binder. It helped me tons after my second child. I do believe what you are feeling is called diastasis recti. I may have spelled that wrong.
