Help me find some EASY recipes!

I am in desperate need of some EASY (and cheap) recipe ideas. I am NOT a cook, walking into the kitchen is like walking into a foreign country to me. But I'm tired of making the same 'ole dishes I always make and was hoping to get some new ideas. It has to be somewhat dummy-proof...lol. So what have you got for me ladies??

Get a crockpot mama if you don't already have one! They are so easy to just throw everything in and walk away and have a wonderful meal in the evening.

Here are a couple of my fav

Crockpot chicken w/ black beans and cream cheese

Crockpot chicken w/ stuffing

BTW, my DH is in Quad Cities all the time at the nuclear plant but I've never found anyone else from there.

Crockpot beans are super easy too!

Take a bag of pinto beans (dry), put them in the crockpot with a ham hock or bacon and set on low for 6-8 hours. After cooked add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper. I also add a little bit of chili powder mix for a little kick and serve with cornbread. Super cheap and easy!

Lentil Tacos - easy, easy, easy and cheap! You won't miss the meat either, I promise

Re: Help me find some EASY recipes!

Yes def. a crock pot.

But here is a cass. we love and it freezes very well.

Chicken Cheesey Cass

2 chicken Breast
1 Bag of broc or 2 cups of fresh cooked broc
2 bags of Success Rice or 4 Cups Cooked Rice from a big bag
1 2 cup Bag of Cheddar
2 Cans Cream of Celery or Chicken

Boil Chicken for 30 mins cut up into bit size pieces, Cook Broc. In a Big Bowl combine Dices Chicken, Cooked Broc, 1 1/4 cup of Cheese, 2 Cans of Cream of Celery, and Cooked Rice. Mix very well. Spread into Cass dish, add remaining 3/4 cheese. Cook at 350 for 30 mins.

I serve this with Corn Bread.

Like I said it freezes well so If you want to make up a few at a time it works great!

I think I *do* have a crockpot, but I've never used it I'm tellin' ya, I'm near phobic of doing something wrong. Plus it doesn't help that my DH is uber picky about food...
