Smile How to make a Baby / Toddler Poncho - Updated Link

Last night I was not busy, so I put together the set of instructions I've been meaning to do for a while for making a poncho. Hope you enjoy!

I have no idea how to get it to work, but I really want to make one of these and need the directions.

Oh, and another option for sleeve slits is just to leave them unfinished (fleece doesn't fray!)

I think there is a mistake in the instructions. If you measure the circumference of the baby's head, you need to divide by 2pi (round to ~6) to get the radius.

The radius of a circle is from the outside to the centre. I think you may be thinking of diameter, which is the distance across a circle.

Re: How to make a Baby / Toddler Poncho - Updated Link

I dont know if this is still an issue but
"The number is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter. The value of is approximately 3.14159265358979323846...The diameter of a circle is twice the radius. Given the diameter or radius of a circle, we can find the circumference. We can also find the diameter (and radius) of a circle given the circumference. The formulas for diameter and circumference of a circle are listed below. We round to 3.14 in order to simplify our calculations.

d=2 x r
C=pi x d "

http://www.mathgoodies.com/lessons/v...umference.html

Therefore if my LO has a 19.75 head (which he does, very large head) then I would take 19.75 divided by pi (3.14) = 6.29 and then divide by 2 to get the radius of 3.145. (Now am I the only one to think those numbers are a little ironic?) Radius is what we are looking for, correct? (BTW, I'm one of those weirdos that would sit and calculate .145 of an inch just to get it exact. )
Thanks.

LilBeanBaby, yes, the directions in step 6. Measure around baby's head. To find the radius, divide by approximately 3.14 (pi) (3 is close enough). This is Measurement B. Could you correct these or restate that that is the diameter? I don't mean to cause friction, but I do see where misunderstanding can occur. I know your directions are so helpful. I really, really appreciate you sticking them out there for us to use.
