Do you cover up when NIP?

Nope. You can't see anything anyway. Unless you are sitting RIGHT next to me and staring intently the entire time, then you might see half a second of nip when he latches off. But people that mind their own beezwax don't see anything.

usually not, my ds hates being covered. however in church I try to step away and cover up a little for the sake of certain people. In the beginning I always wanted to cover and even then was scared to nip, lol!

I did with odd. Now, I could care less really. I wear cami's under my tops so the muffin top doesn't spill out though I sat next to a lady at the park one afternoon who was nursing her 4 year old. When I sat down, I hadn't noticed it but then she said. "Most people avoid me like the plague!" I was like, "Why? (thinking she really had the plague or something )" I looked over and only then did I realize why. Needless to say, we had a nice conversation about breastfeeding.

I do cover up in public depending upon where I am. When I have taken my dd to see my co-workers I cover up because some of the guys can be creepy and they dont need to see what my boobs really look like, but in the comfort of my family I told them that bfing is going to happen for a long while so they just had better get used to it...plus i just told them i expect them not to look because i'm not going to cover up.

Kate, I was really irritated to see that on the news as well. Just because SOME moms choose to use a cover, does not mean ALL moms do. I think it was even funnier to see the male news anchor trip over the word "breast" each time he had to say it, yet less than 10 minutes later had no problem talking about a strip club.
I voted "it depends" on the cover up, because there have been a couple times when I cover. To be honest, I think the best use for a hooter hider is pumping in the car when I don't want to show the whole parking lot exactly how the baby eats while mommy's away!
I was at the nurse in too, that was great. It was really nice to see all different moms (and a few dads) together for the same purpose. Baby's first peaceful protest!

Wait, I lied. I covered up during my BIL's wedding because I had to pull my whole boob out of the front of my dress to nurse, and I didn't really know any of the people there and didn't want to make a ruckus at this huge opulent church. So I put a burp rag over the top of my boob, but that was it.

I nurse this way in other places without thinking twice. But I just felt I should be a little more discreet considering the situation. If I had been wearing a top and skirt and I didn't have to get my whole boob out, I wouldn't have covered.

I only cover at church to be modest in front of the men.

I do depending where I am or who I'm around. I always cover up at church or around my FIL, (he's a pastor, so very conservative).
