leaking wool

does overlanolized wool leak? I think I may have overdone it when I washed them the last time and now the leak. They were a bit sticky when wet. How do I fix this?

Hmmmm.....Over lanolizing is usually a good thing It wouldn't make it leak more. Maybe it's the diaper or your baby peeing more then usual?

Yeah, well lanolized wool shouldn't leak. It could be a fit problem. We're getting this with our crats at night....when ds floods his diaper, pee goes right out the leg hole

Re: leaking wool

i've never personally had a problem with overlanolized wool...but there was another thread recently where several knowledgeable wool mamas suggested that might be the case.

aside from the fit issue - my motto is that a cover/etc. is only as good as the fitted underneath. what's under the wool when it's leaking?

Re: leaking wool

I was told when I got my wool that if it is still new then it will take a couple washes and lanolizing's to reach its peak. Is the item new? I just got mine in the last couple of weeks and haven't had a problem, but I keep a close eye on them for right now. (Even though I need to wash one of them to get rid of the oreo cookie on them )

Re: leaking wool

they are recycled wool so I'm not sure if they need more time to reach their peek. I'll try another fitted under it and maybe spray lanolin no the inside.
