Exclamation Help me cook my ham!

I NEVER cook. I am making a ham for Christmas eve, but I have no idea how long to bake it. I made one 2 years ago but I can't remember what I did.

It is a whole ham, boneless, fully cooked and weighs 7.7lbs

I found somewhere online that said 10-12min per pound at 325 F. Does that seem right??? I seem to remember that the last time I made a ham I was baking it for hours.

Re: Help me cook my ham!

Ok, I made a ham for my family Christmas this past Saturday. It was a bone in, fully cooked, 13lbs. I put it in my roasting pan that I use for turkeys and it worked perfect. I covered it with tin foil. 350 degrees for 1 hour and then took off the foil, spread the top with a brown sugar/dry mustard combination that makes it even more yummy! I left the tin foil off and let it cook for another 1/2 hour. I had my brother cut the ham for me. By the time it got to the table, it had cooled off a bit so I should have left in the oven for at least 45 mins more instead of 1/2hour.

With it being fully cooked already, all you need to do is heat it completely thru. Don't forget the tin foil so it won't burn the outside but take it off for the last bit so it can get somewhat brown.

Hope this helps!! Enjoy your ham on Christmas. I think making a ham is soooo much easier than a turkey!

Re: Help me cook my ham!

I made exactly the same size ham just this last weekend. I put it in a baking dish, covered it with foil and baked it at 325 for 2 1/2 hours. It was awesome. I didn't glaze it, but you can...just do it the last 30 min or so.

Most likely, instructions are on the inside of the label Enjoy!

Re: Help me cook my ham!

Thanks! I would have never known to put foil over it
